Lupus Foundation of America, Pacific Northwest Chapter is a tax-exempt charitable organization under IRS Code (501)(c)(3). Please contact our chapter office for the tax identification number.

As you know, we are a nonprofit health organization whose primary purpose is to provide information and assistance to you and others who have lupus, are affected by lupus, or are interested in our programs and activities.  We also strive to educate the public about lupus and gain support for research into the cause(s), diagnosis, treatment and cure of lupus. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on membership dues and donations to help fund our programs and services.

You can donate to us through different ways.

  1. General Donation  -  Write a General Donation check to: LFA, Pacific Northwest Chapter
     
  2. Memorial/Tribute Donation - You can make a Memorial/Tribute donation in honor of a loved one. Please include with your donation:

·        The name of the person in whose memory or honor the donation is made.

·        The name and mailing address of the family member who we will inform of this donation.

·        Your name and address so that we can send you the receipt of the donation

  1. Wedding/Special Occasion Donations  -  You can also make arrangements to collect donations at your special occasions. People can directly send in their donations at our local chapter address. We send the donation receipts to the people donating at this occasion and also send acknowledgment in whose honor this donation is made.   2. Work Place Giving  Federal, State, County and City employees can donate to the Lupus Foundation of America, Pacific Northwest Chapter by payroll deduction through these two agencies:

  1. Walk Donations  -  Each year LFA Pacific Northwest Chapter organizes Mad Hatter Walk & Roll for Lupus. It is the biggest annual fundraiser for the chapter. You can write a check to LFA/Pacific Northwest Chapter. Anybody who donates/raises $100 or more will recieve one Official Mad Hatter Walk & Roll T-shirt.   2. Everybody who donates $25 or more will recieve a receipt for the tax-deductible donation they make.
     
  1. Employee Matching Gifts/Donations  -  Many employers match contributions made by their employees to some charitable organizations. You can get a copy of the matching gift forms from your personnel or community relations department and mail it with your donations. LFA/Pacific Northwest Chapter will fill in the form and mail it to the related department of your organization.   2. Memorial or Honorary Gifts -  We are very thankful to people who donate gifts at our fundraising events. We also do raffle drawings at the walk and people can donate different gifts for that draw.
