Ways to Donate!

 
Lupus Foundation of America, Pacific Northwest Chapter is a tax-exempt charitable organization under IRS Code (501)(c)(3). Please our chapter office for the tax identification number.

As you know, we are a nonprofit health organization whose primary purpose is to provide information and assistance to you and others who have lupus, are affected by lupus, or are interested in our programs and activities.  We also strive to educate the public about lupus and gain support for research into the cause(s), diagnosis, treatment and cure of lupus. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on membership dues and donations to help fund our programs and services.

You can donate to us through different ways.

  1. General Donation  -  Write a General Donation check to: LFA, Pacific Northwest Chapter
     
  2. Memorial/Tribute Donation - You can make a Memorial/Tribute donation in honor of a loved one. Please include with your donation:

  1. Wedding/Special Occasion Donations  -  You can also make arrangements to collect donations at your wedding occasion. People can directly send in their donations at our local chapter address. We send the donation receipts to the people donating at this occasion and also send acknowledgment in whose wedding this donation is made.   2. Work Place Giving – Federal, State, County and City employees can donate to the Lupus Foundation of America, Pacific Northwest Chapter by payroll deduction through these two agencies:

  1. Walk Donations  -  Each year LFA Pacific Northwest Chapter organizes Walk for Lupus every Fall. October is a Lupus Awareness Month. You can donate and write a check to LFA/Pacific Northwest Chapter. We have T-shirts for the people who collect $50.00 or more for the walk. You can also donate online at: www.firstgiving.com\lupuspnw

  1. Collective Walk Sponsor
    Donate $10 or more and be a part of a collective walk Sponsor to organize a successful walk in Seattle, Portland and Spokane. Write your check to LFA - Pacific Northwest Chapter. Your name will be posted on a big poster at the walk. If you wish to be anonymous, please write to us
     
  2. Employee Matching Gifts/Donations  -  Many employers match contributions made by their employees to some charitable organizations. You can get a copy of the matching gift forms from your personnel or community relations department and mail it with your donations. LFA/Pacific Northwest Chapter will fill in the form and mail it to the related department of your organization.   3. Memorial or Honorary Gifts -  We are very thankful to people who donate gifts at our fundraising events. We also do raffle drawings at the walk and people can donate different gifts for that draw.
  4. Vehicle Donations - LFA, Pacific Northwest Chapter is pleased to announce that we are able accept vehicle donations now. For more information please contact our chapter office.
